is a non-profit, non-governmental organisation that represents the physiotherapy profession at National and international Level.The IAP is registered under Indian society act, in the year 1955 .The Indian Association of Physiotherapists was a member of WCPT from 1967 - March 2015. IAP is the peak body representing the interests of Indian physiotherapists and their patients. We are committed to professional excellence and career success for our members, which translates into better patient outcomes and improved health conditions for all patients in the society. Through our National Groups we offer advanced training and collegial support from physiotherapists working in similar areas.

The IAP is also a credential and assessment agency that provides evaluation services on behalf of our Members – the provincial and territorial physiotherapy regulators (called Colleges). On behalf of our Members, we review the education and qualifications of applicants who have graduated from reputed physiotherapy colleges to endorse them as Indian-educated physiotherapists.
